Internet teasers and press releases – selected genre traits

The development of the Internet and the popularity and dynamics of online newspapers triggered interesting changes in the conventions of press genres. The following analysis is devoted to sections presenting teasers and announcements on the websites of newspapers. It aims at examining the influence of communicative situations on the structural and functional shape of the genre and the possibility of its transformation triggered by this new context. The analysis covers the websites of national and regional newspapers (gazetakrakowska.pl, kurier24.pl, ekspresbydgoski.pl, dziennik24.pl, dziennikwschodni.pl).
