Polish Journalists in Light of Comparative Studies of Media Accountability Systems in Europe

The article presents selected results of empirical research conducted in Poland between 23 May and 31 December 2011, based on an online questionnaire, as part of the international research project “Media Accountability and Transparency in Europe” (MediaAcT). The discussed results in detail refer to the professional problems of journalists and the level of responsibility resulting from the media organization’s relation with the public. The results are compared with data gathered in research from other European countries.
