The first decade of Polish Independence Movement "Independence and Democracy" activity. Modern research perspective.

English version of the article
This article is an interdisciplinary reconstruction of the first decade of activity of the Polish Independence Movement "Independence and Democracy" and its press "Trybuna". Within the context of Polish Diaspora, regarding history, political science or media studies, there are still many areas which can be considered terra incognita, or using the metaphor, "virgin islands waiting to be discovered". This article discusses the role, the significance, the successes and failures of the II Great Polish Emigration Wave. It could be considered a introduction to a more comprehensive history of Polish Independence Movement and its press history, which supplements the synthetic image of Polish war and post-war emigration wave.
