Rememberance and newspaper

The essay discusses the evolution of Polish press. Over time, fighting for autonomy, newspapers and magazines differentiated themselves from books. It is said that journalism is fleeting and only masterpieces guarantee permanence of the world they describe. However, today old issues of dailies and periodicals can also be priceless as they contain just as much knowledge about the past as masterpieces of literature.
