The Prussian concept of journalism – is it still valid?

Boleslaw Prus was one of the most popular journalists of the nineteenth century Warsaw. He was aware of the important role of the press in the shaping of the public opinion and in the life of the society. He knew the journalistic community well and was aware of its professional problems. Therefore in his columns and articles he tried to address the issues regarding the relationship between the journalistic community and the society. His opinions and conclusions are still valid today.
