The contemporary media system of Spain

After the collapse of the general Franco dictatorship in 1975, begins in Spain the process of the system transformation. It had an important influence on the development of the media system in this country. Today, after nearly thirty years, you can say about stable media market, worked on the same basics which are in the countries with the longest democratic-liberal traditions. This article shows problems which have the Spanish media in the beginning of the XXI century. It says about the media concentration, the invasion of the new mass-media, the coexistation of the public and private media. It is presented too, in general description, the market of the Spanish press and the audiovisual media.
