Information Campaign in Government Hands... or "Political State Marketing"?
Rafał Riedel
English version of the article
This article aims to define the term information policy since, although the term is widely used by journalists and politicians, so far it has not been identified precisely enough. The author classifies it in the categories of social, journalist, political, public, persuasive, (state) political marketing as well as in information campaign and communication policy terms, attempting to position it in the wide web of communication studies terminology. To exemplify it, the author uses Polish government information policy regarding our membership in the EU, before the access referendum.
