Swiss capital in the Polish print media

In recent years Swiss publishers have kept a significant position at the Polish press market. The Swiss took interest in Polish titles as soon as in the early nineties. First they invested in the press for professionals, mainly press concerning economy, and then in women's and sports magazines. Today it is clear that publishing houses like Edipresse Polska or JM Marguard Media Publishing (company with Swiss and American capital) have got settled in Poland for good and successfully compete with German, French publishing houses. Article presents basic investments and market positions of the titles published by the Edipresse Poland and JM Marquard Media publishing, which have, respectively, good position on the women's magazine market and dominant position on the sport magazine market.
