German Government Internet Campaign on the Copyright Reform - Interested Parties and their Position in the Debate
Rafał Próchniak
This paper analyses the role of the information campaign launched by the German Ministry of Justice in relation to the copyright law reform. Changes in legal regulations are necessary to keep up with technological progress. At the same time, new technologies contribute to the increasing gap between the expectations of copyright owners and users. The debate between the parties takes place in the Internet and this is also the medium used by the legislator. The analysis compares government activities with other campaigns, presents reactions to these activities and their place in the debate.
