Methods and techniques of news information in contemporary Polish press agencies

The aim of the paper is to present contemporary Polish news agency as modern sources of information in contemporary media world. The importance of news agencies has increased in the era of internet and development of online services; they create additional channels of information that meet all the requirements of the traditional publics (audiences of press, radio and television). The traditional formula of press agency has been replaced by new forms, contents and news addressed to different customer groups. After 1989 news agencies in Poland evolved in the direction of electronic agency (e-agency). Current challenges relate to the rise of “social media” and the role of Twitter and Facebook in the process of news production.
