Journalistic Provocation. Definition - Legal and Ethics Aspects - Typology

The author of this article examines journalistic provocation in terms of its legal and ethical aspects. The main point of the analysis is connected with nature of provocation, its aims, social effects and limitations, as well as problems concerning journalistic freedom and responsibility. Provocation can be applied only as a part of investigative journalism, if it is used for searching the truth in vital social interest. It should not be used only for commercial, entertainment, fun and sensationalization of events.
