Leonid Kuchma's Image In "Wprost" Weekly Between 1994-2004

The author attempted to describe the mechanisms of manipulation, persuasion and linguistic categorization that we can see when analyzing any weekly newspaper, in this case - "Wprost". The press, as an everyday source of information, is a gigantic machine which shapes our perception and outlook. Very often, perception is deformed by ideology. Articles become an element shaping our consciousness. In this case, the portrayal of Leonid Kuchma by "Wprost" may, on the one hand, increase our knowledge about him or, on the other, be an example of an image created by media.
