The goal of this article is to analyze microblog service Twitter, from the perspective of its significance in the political communication. In the recent years it has become one of the most popular media services in the world, next to Facebook, Youtube and Google. Thanks to its popularity, politicans have a chance to avoid traditional media gatekeeping and to directly reach followers with the most important information.
