Media as a Contemporary Areopagus - John Paul II's Proposal
Ryszard Kozłowski
This article is a presentation of the Roman-Catholic Church view and John Paul II's teachings on media. It focuses on man and his basic question: Who am I? A human being can only exist in a specific sphere of culture (contemporary areopagus) which, on one hand, is created by him and, on the other, has a creative power itself. This connection, between man and culture, reveals the existence of positive values such as: truth, freedom, righteousness so man can develop and find the meaning of life.
