Privacy in the Media
Tadeusz Kononiuk
In a democratic society privacy is a privilege without which life would be endurable. While society values is immensely, paradoxically, it has transformed it into a best selling good, with numerous people living and prospering only thanks to the media hype round their private lives. Having the right to privacy where individuals strive for seclusion, people, at the same time, have the right to decide to what extent they want to let others, media included, into their lives and affairs, fulfilling this way their own idea of existence. Privacy in the media cannot therefore be abused in a harmful to the individual way.
