Internet Radio chance and challenge

The deepening convergence of the media world and the growing popularity of multimedia computer technologies combined with the dynamic development of the Internet gave rise to the emergence of Internet radio. This type of broadcasting activity does not require great financial inputs and is free of regulation characteristic to the radio market. The opportunities created by the Internet also allow users to take part in the broadcasting process. The dynamic development and professionalism of the phenomenon described in the article are challenging also to other media broadcasting sources as well as to various public institutions responsible for the creation and carrying out of media policy.
