Between government and citizens – media in the debate on the reform of education

Media are important factors of change. Are media building democracy in Poland? The paper discusses select articles published in “Gazeta Wyborcza” over the last twenty years. Analysis of articles on the reform of education shows how mass media perform their functions: information, education, control and debate.
