Unpopular popular press – the situation of French national tabloids

The author analyses the modern French popular press market. This type of press in France has low circulation figures, on the daily national market present are only two tabloids. This situation on the press market differentiates France from other countries. The author analyses the historic, social and legal aspects of tabloid press in France which could largely influence the present situation.
