Legal aspects of information protection in electronics business - selected issues for journalists

Integration of Poland with the European Union has rendered creation of legal frames for an information society necessary. Assumptions relating to legislative works are included in the document prepared by the Polish government and entitled "e-Poland - Plan of operations in support of the development of information society in years 2001-2006". Year 2002 was the year of biggest changes in Polish law within the range of new technologies. These changes reflect relevant directives of the EU. For journalist's work the following acts shall be of special importance: act on data base protection, act on protection of certain services rendered by electronic way based on or consisting in conditional access, act on electronic signature.
