Twenty years later. Publishing activity of Burda Poland, H. Bauer, Gruner+Jahr Poland and Axel Springer Poland concerns on the Polish press market

The presence of foreign companies on the Polish press market is an indisputable fact, due to the growing globalization of the modern world. At present, there is no debate on the opportunities and risks associated with the entry of German editors onto the Polish market. The author of the article describes the most important moments connected to the presence of the four companies based on German capital: Burda Poland, H. Bauer, Axel Springer Poland, Gruner+Jahr Poland, on the Polish market of high circulation magazines. The analysis of the magazine offer clearly shows which press segments have enjoyed the greatest interest of the above companies. Over the last twenty years, apparent is their continuing development, targeted at gaining maximum profit.
