Promotion and popularization of culture as one of the main goals of RTVE

The arguments presented in the article prove that the popularization of culture is one of the basic goals of Spanish public media, which acts as an instrument for cultural policy. The article analyses public service media remit of Corporation Radio Televisión Española (RTVE) – Radio Nacional de España (RNE) and television stations – Televisión Española (TVE) with respect to cultural issues. It also takes into account activities of Orquesta Simfónica de RTVE and the choir Coro de RTVE.
