Jacek Barlik
American experience with PR ethics could be useful in coping with professional and ethical dilemmas in Polish PR industry. Following 50 years of PRSA code of ethics based on punishing for unethical behaviors, its new version – launched in 2000 – focuses on education and setting positive examples. It is supported by professional advisories for PR specialists, awareness programs (like PR ethics month), trainings for PRSA members, trade publications and scientific research on PR ethics.
